Hello

Hello, well it's finally Friday.  What  a week let me tell ya!  Well here I am heading into the weekend with my new vege haul from Costco.  First the pricing.  The green beans are $4.99, the mixed peppers are $6.59, the cucs are $3.99 and the apples were $5.99.  Pretty good for such large quantities.  I usually pay around 3.50-4.00 for one ripe red pepper.  Here you get six for $6.59!  So to start....
French Green Beans w/garlic
So this recipe is so easy it is almost embarassing.  But these beans are so good you don't need to do much to serve them.  I make this recipe about 1/3 bag at a time, and serve as a side dish to anything, burgers, chicken, meatloaf, anything.  Then I put the leftovers in the fridge and take them out when I need a snack.  Pile them high on a plate and sprinkle with a little sea salt and munch away.  They are so sweet and just right crisp!  yummmeee.  Here's the recipe!

Fill a medium sized sauce pan one half with water, season the water with a little EVOO and slice three garlic heads lengthwise, add to water, then throw in a pinch of salt.  Bring to boil.
Add... 1/3 bag of french green beans (remember these are not pole green beans or snap beans)
Add... 1 tsp of sugar
Boil for 4 minutes, yes 4 minutes will make these perfect, these beans will not be mushy.

So so good and good for you, enjoy!  Sometimes I eat just these alone for dinner!  chow
