Hi everyone, I've been running across a few noteworthy articles that I wanted to share.
LOCAL, GROW YOUR OWN, LOCAL
#1: The first is a link to an article on Tilapia Fish... I've never made this fish a choice in my diet, I just leave it alone, completely. First of all it is not an "oily" brand fish like Salmon. Secondly, you never know where these little rubbery tasteless guys come from. I also like the fact that the author is moving us away from buying from China.
That being said, here it is!
Tilapia info
SUGAR...
More and more researchers are discovering the inequities of the sugar in our diets. It is added in the most non sugary places in processed food. I know that processed foods are easy and quick. But my question to everyone is what are you in a rush for? So you can sit on the couch watching TV longer? So you can shop more? Just curious. What are you rushing your eating and cooking to be able to do. Canned vegetables excluded, most processed foods have added sugar, frozen meals, spaghetti sauce, salad dressings...
This is just one article, the shorter of the others, that I've come across recently.
25 dangers of sugar
Another article with suggested intake of sugar 26 Grams (Less than a coke contains!!)
Livestrong Article
Simply said all of the above points to a TAKE CHARGE attitude for your kitchen, health and tummy.
